iOS app support
Help for Repeating Beep 1.0 on iPhone and iPad.
Quick checks
- Use Test beep to check the current media volume and selected audio route.
- Silent Mode does not mute the iOS app's beep. System media volume and the selected route control what you hear.
- Start plays one immediate three-pulse beep. Stop ends the timer and its Live Activity.
- If active headphones or Bluetooth output disconnect, the timer stops instead of moving a beep to the speaker. Reconnect, check the route, and start a new timer.
- Force-quitting the app stops the timer. Relaunching restores preferences, not the previous session.
Background and Lock Screen use
A timer you start can continue audible beeps while the app is in the background or the device is locked. iOS interruptions, system termination, media volume, and route changes can limit delivery. The optional Live Activity shows elapsed session time, the current cadence, and Stop; dismissing it does not stop the audible timer.
Also vibrate
Also vibrate is supplementary and works only on supported iPhones while Repeating Beep is open, visible, and active with the screen on. It does not produce Repeating Beep vibration while the app is inactive, backgrounded, locked, or closed. It is unavailable on iPad and other unsupported hardware.
